Thank you for considering Amelia Margaret Photography for your senior photos. I believe in making your session as fun and stress-free as possible. From my versatile pricing to submitting your yearbook photos to your school, I'm here for you!
Before you book
Find out the deadline for your yearbook photos to be submitted. It's usually sometime in early November, but double check with your school to be safe! Schools normally hand out "senior packets" which contain deadlines and specifications for your senior yearbook photo.
Step one
Message me to book your appointment. I prefer shooting close to sunset- around 6 pm in the summer months. Too much sun leads to squinting, weird shadows, and blown-out whites. Mornings are nice too, but they can be dewy and a tad wet. I work both weekdays and weekends, so let me know what you prefer!
Step two
I will send you a link to e-sign a contract. It's super simple and there is no sign in required! Then, pay a $10 non-refundable booking fee. This holds your appointment time. I accept PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Cash, and Check. Your $10 booking fee will be applied to your final payment due the day of your session.
Step three
Choose you locations. I shoot within a 45 minute radius of Lapeer. A small travel fee applies if further. I have a lot of different places I can recommend. Send me some images you've seen that you really like! Maybe you have a Pinterest board? Share it with me! Seeing some of your favorite photos can help me suggest a location. I'm also open to trying new places. If you have a location in mind already, let me know.
Step four
Plan your outfits. Click here for some tips! We will be doing both casual poses as well as your formal yearbook head shot. I bring a ridiculously large popup back drop with me so we can shoot anywhere and get it done all in one session! Yay convenience!
Step five
I'll contact you the week of your session to check in and make sure the weather looks good! If it's a very good chance of rain, we will reschedule. Just cloudiness on the other hand is great!
Step six
Photo shoot day! It's a good idea to bring someone with you, most seniors bring a parent or guardian, but some have opted for a close friend. We'll meet at the chosen location and get started. Payment is due at the end of your session time.
Your appointment time is depends on the package you have chosen. We'll do both head shots and casual poses during that time. It'll be so fun. I promise!
Step seven
I choose the sharpest, nicest photos from your session for you to select from. This is called your proof album. I'll retouch and edit your images after you decide which ones you like best. Things like blemishes or scratches will be removed. Let me know if there is anything else you would like me to pay special attention to while editing.
Step eight
I will send you a link to your images. It will take a week or two depending on how full my senior portrait schedule is. Fall can be super busy!
Step nine
Let me know your selection for your high school yearbook and I will submit it for you! How easy is that?!
Step ten
Share and print your photos wherever you like. You do not have to order through me, though I do offer professional lab services on high-quality archival paper.
